Since 2001, I have been a folk singer in the local folk revival group VRUJA. That's how I met my husband, Marino Kranjac. He is an accomplished musician and I have been a vocalist in our musical band ever since.

Next to being a folk singer for more than 20 years, I am also a published writer and a self-taught crochet designer. I hold a degree in education and have been a primary school teacher for many years. I am a Montessori certified preschool educator and an Infant Massage coach. 

Love for Art Dolls

Since I started writing my first book, in 2018, the inspiration for making dolls has been woven into my main character, aunt Malya. Later on I started creating dolls and have been holding art exhibitions and presentations in my local community and art fairs.

In 2022, I created many dolls that are the characters for my first children's picture book, Livio the Fisherman (Ribič Livio - Livio il pescatore). Instead of illustrations, the book presents photographs of my dolls, in scenes from this fairy tale. 

Vilinska kri

In 2018 my  first book was published by Amalietti Založba (editing house). "Vilinska kri ali tovarišice prav posebne sorte" is a book about witches, "le streghe" or "štrige", as Istrians call them. The folklore of witchcraft is still very alive and present in Istria, as well as in nearby Friuli and other surrounding  regions.

Vilinska kri (Fairy Blod or the companions of a very special kind) was followed by a novel "Mara, vilinska kraljična" (Mara, the fairy princess, by the same publisher Amalietti) in 2019 and a children's book "Ribič Livio - Livio il pescatore" (Livio the fisherman, by the Civic Library Izola) in 2022.
